Physical Education of the Jungmädel by Vera Filthaut

Recommendations for the first year:

Every guide needs to know the following basic things before a JM sports session:
 
Jungmädel are in the process of physical development and therefore tire very easily. Excessive athletic stress is therefore unsuitable because their strength is not yet sufficient to carry out duration and strength exercises for a longer period of time. In particular, strenuous continuous work should be avoided during this growing season. Exercises with a short, rapid force, followed by a break from time to time, in which the body can recover, are appropriate and promote the development of the whole organism.It is also important that the young girls always show a good posture so that they do not develop round or hollow backs. For this reason, support exercises on devices, or a backward bridge are to be avoided at all costs. In JM sport, games form the basis of physical education.
